REFUNDS

MAEKI adheres to Australian Consumer Law in relation to refunds.
⟡ Refunds are not applicable for changes of mind, mistaken purchases, or accidental enrolments.

All course fees are generally non-refundable. This includes all Online Training, where no cooling-off period applies due to instant access to digital course content upon purchase.

All student kits provided are strictly non-refundable. Due to hygiene and health regulations, we cannot accept returns once kits are received, as these items cannot be resold or reused.

Refund requests based on exceptional circumstances may be submitted in writing and will be assessed at the discretion of the Managing Director. The decision made will be final.

Cancellations & Reschedules – In-Person Training

Section 1: Cancellation Within 24-Hour Cooling Off Period

Students have a 24-hour cooling-off period from the time of their initial booking payment (excluding immediate-access online training) to cancel their enrolment.
If canceled during this window, MAEKI will process a refund within thirty (30) business days of written cancellation notice.

Section 2: Cancellation Outside the 24-Hour Cooling Off Period

⟡ Booking fees/deposits & full payments made upon enrolling are non-refundable once paid.

⟡ Full course fees must be settled 7 days prior to the first day of training.

⟡ Cancellations made 14 days or fewer before training will incur a 50% tuition fee charge if paid via deposit.

⟡ Cancellations within 48 hours of training will result in a 100% tuition fee charge if pad via deposit.

Once training has commenced, full tuition is payable — regardless of course completion.

Termination by MAEKI

MAEKI reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrolment for the following reasons:

⟡ Breach of any outlined policies or expectations.

⟡ Behaviour deemed threatening, unsafe, or disruptive to the safety or well-being of others.

⟡ Any situation that compromises the educator or brand values.

Enrolment may be terminated at MAEKI’s discretion without refund.

Deposits & Booking Fees

Training must be paid in full prior to commencement. If a deposit is paid to secure training dates, the remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your first training day.

⟡ $20.00 per day late fee applies to all overdue balances.

⟡ If payment is not made on time, your training may be canceled and funds forfeited.
24 hours' notice will incur a fee.

⟡ Booking fees remain non-refundable under all circumstances.

Force Majeure

In cases where training cannot be delivered due to events beyond our control — including but not limited to fire, natural disasters, illness, government restrictions, travel delays, or other force majeure — MAEKI will reschedule the training at the earliest possible convenience.

In cases of insufficient enrolment numbers or unexpected staff unavailability, MAEKI reserves the right to reschedule training.

Certificate Re-issue

At MAEKI University, students are responsible for safely storing and retaining their original certificate upon course completion.

Due to the high volume of students we train, student records, certificates, and training data are not guaranteed to be stored beyond 12 months from the date of course completion. After this timeframe, archived information may no longer be accessible.

If a student requires a replacement certificate due to loss, damage, name changes, or misplacement, a Certificate Re-Issue Fee will apply:

⟡ Digital Certificate Re-Issue: $100 AUD
⟡ Printed Certificate + Framed Re-Issue Posted via Mail: $150 AUD

To request a certificate re-issue, students must provide the following information:

⟡ Full Name used during enrolment
⟡ Approximate Training Date
⟡ Course Completed

Please note that MAEKI University reserves the right to deny certificate re-issue requests if sufficient training records or proof of completion cannot be located.

Certificate re-issue requests may take up to 5 business days to process.
