FAQs
Does online courses expire?
No. All of our online training courses have lifetime access and are completely self-paced. This means you can learn in your own time and return to the course whenever you need to — whether that’s days, weeks, or even months later!
If you experience any issues accessing your course or locating your student dashboard, please email us with your full name, email address, and order number (if available) so we can locate your student profile and assist you.
Can I complete an online course if I’m not located in Australia?
Yes, Absolutely. Our online training courses are available to students worldwide.
We do recommend checking your local state or country regulations regarding licensing requirements within the beauty industry.
Regardless of your location, you will receive a certificate of completion for the course you enrol in.
What is better: online training or in-person training?
Both our online and in-person training courses are equally in-depth and provide the same core education, resources, and training materials.
The difference comes down to how you prefer to learn.
Online Training
- Completed from the comfort of your own home
- Self-paced so you can learn in your own time
- Ideal for full-time workers, students, stay-at-home mums, or those who live far from our training location
In-Person Training
- Delivered as private one-on-one training
- Perfect for students who prefer hands-on learning
- Completed over a set number of days depending on the course
Both options are designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to confidently start offering services.
Do I need prior experience or prerequisites to enrol in training?
The majority of our courses are designed for complete beginners, as well as existing beauty professionals who are looking to expand their services or skill set.
The only course that requires a prerequisite is our Online Lash Educator Course / Beauty Educator Blueprint. To enrol in this course, you must have a minimum of 12 months experience as a beauty artist or lash artist, as the training is designed for professionals who are ready to transition into becoming an educator.
What support do I receive during my course?
Students can contact our support team if they require assistance at any stage of their training. Whether you need help with course access, lesson content, technical issues, or general guidance, our team is here to assist.
You can reach out to us via email or through our Instagram page, @MAEKI.BEAUTY, and we will do our best to support you throughout your learning experience.
Do I receive a student discount code when I enrol?
Absolutely! When you enrol in one of our courses, you will receive access to our Student Discount Vault.
This vault contains a curated list of industry suppliers and partnered brands, offering discount codes ranging from 10% - 35% off products & tools you may need when starting or growing your beauty business.
You will also receive our exclusive student discount code of 20% for use on our products.
Does we offer accreditation?
We are a private training academy and provide certification upon successful completion of the course, we do not offer accreditation.
It is important to understand that within Australia, only a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) can deliver nationally recognised and accredited training.
Because we operate as a private academy, our courses provide industry certification.
Accreditation is often misunderstood within the beauty industry. While accreditation may apply to certain government-regulated training providers, certification is what most insurance providers require in order for you to obtain professional insurance, start your own business, or work within a salon.
Accreditation in this industry is not needed at all.
Upon successful completion of your course, you will receive a certificate of completion confirming your training.
If any academy claims their course is “accredited”, we recommend asking for their RTO number and verifying it on the national training register
(https://training.gov.au).
If the organisation does not have an RTO number listed on the register, they are not an accredited training provider.
